About me: Resham Singh Anmol is a popular Punjabi singer, lyricist, and performer known for his energetic stage presence and hit tracks like "Nagni," "Surma," and "Kangna." Born in Nakatpur village, Ambala, Haryana, he began singing at age 11, inspired by folk legends like Surinder Shinda. About me: The Washington Balalaika Society is an all-volunteer community orchestra, the largest orchestra of Russian folk instruments in the United States. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings in Arlington. Our next concerts are on June 14 and 15 in Bethesda, MD and at the Capital One Hall, Tysons, VA. About us: Thank you so much for considering playing with Trotters Wake Irish Band! We play a high energy mix of old and new Irish and Scottish drinking songs, rebel songs, ballads, and traditional instrumental tunes. Our full instrumentation includes acoustic guitar/electronic kick drum, fiddle, accordion, bodhrán (Irish hand drum), and bass guitar. We play a more traditional style like The Clancy Brothers, Irish Rovers, and The Dubliners alongside songs from more “modern” bands like The Pogues, The Waterboys, Flogging Molly, and Gaelic Storm.

I formed and led the band in Arizona for 17 years before moving to Souderton, Pennsylvania in April 2023 and reforming the band here. We play private shows now but will be playing in pubs eventually. Our schedule is light now, but I am targeting to play 1-2 shows per week within about a 150 mile radius of Souderton.

I have a full band now but I need backup players who may move into primary roles. Irish music experience and the ability to improvise are preferred, but if you play well and are interested, please contact me. No professional experience is necessary, and age is absolutely not a factor. I’ve had players from ages 16-80, but I especially like mentoring younger players in college or recent grads who need some $ and experience. I can provide contacts for my former bandmates if you want to talk to them about their experiences in the band.

Typical pay ranges from $100-$400/show, depending on the travel time and performance length. I pay by check and do report income as required by IRS guidelines.
