About us: Looking for a heavy hitter. Not necessarily the craziest. But, someone who can come up with great drum beats.
Influences are tough because I feel it puts in some type of limitation. Into bands like In Flames, Pantera, Machine Head, Trivium as well as many others some softer some heavier. Currently there are 3 members guitarist, bassist and vocalist. Just need drums. We practice in Mount Perry, Ohio

About me: Hello! My name is Jesiah, I’m 20 and I’m a trombone player & composer that’s Starting a Band Called Starcade Groove, honestly so that I can make some new friends and do something I love with other young musicians.

Starcade Groove will be a Jazz-Funk-Indie Fusion following similar styles of musicians such as Laufey, Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, Anri, and Genres such as Jazz, Funk, Blues, Indie Pop & Jazz, Bossa Nova, Yacht Rock, Disco, Ska, and Pop. Along with that, We will play a mix of Original music and cover arrangements, composed and arranged by me. And For my “Don’t/Can’t read sheet music/Play by ear” Musicians like myself, Don’t worry! I always add the audio files of the full song and individual parts in the Song Specific Google drive folder!

I’m looking to form a full band of 10-16 people

Looking for:

Bass- Male or Female(Bonus if you also play Double Bass(my bass player is gonna be out for a few months so I need someone to cover for her)

Drums- Male or Female(preferably)

Guitar- Male and Female(1 each)

Keys- Male or Female

Aux Percussion- Male or Female(2 Players)

Alto Sax- Male or Female(Double Reed Players are Acceptable)

Tenor Sax- Male or Female(Double Reed Players are Acceptable[Flute, Clarinet, Soprano Sax])

Bari Sax- Male or Female(Double Reed Players are Acceptable[Bass Clarinet])

Trumpet- Male or Female

Vocalists- Bass(Male), Tenor(Male), Alto(Female), Soprano(Female)

Other requirements:

Must be a Musician

Ages: 18-24

Must live in the Chicagoland area(Preferably Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Joliet, Westbrook, but anywhere in Illinois if you don’t mind the commute)

Bring your own equipment(Music Stands, Amps, Cables, etc. Really whatever you need to play)

Other Info:

iPad/Digital sheet music users are suggested but not required. I’ll print out copies but if you can, print your own copy just in case. I’m clumsy and forgetful and might forget to do so

If anyone has any rehearsal/recording studio recommendations or spaces big enough to fit 10-16 people, let me know, otherwise I think we’re going to rehearsal at Gremlen Recording Studios in Aurora, Il

I’m currently working on a general rehearsal schedule, but I was thinking maybe 4-6pm Wednesday-Friday and 12-4pm or 2-6pm on Saturday(I’m looking into figuring out Google Calendar so that you can add in your schedule conflicts, so we’ll know, as a band, who might to leave early, be late, or be a no show(if it’s last minute, just communicate that to me or the band to be’s group chat otherwise just put it on the calendar, I’ll look at it.) also if a majority of the band can’t show one specific rehearsal day, there just won’t be any rehearsal that day)
