About me: When I was in my teens, I wanted to be like Elton John (like him, I could not compose lyrics), and played keyboards and sang lead vocal in a couple of local rock bands in western New York; however, classical music staked its claim on my artistic yearnings in college, and I had a moderately successful international career as a leading Italian tenor. I have also composed close to 200 classical songs for voice and piano.

I have always retained an immense affection for the great music of the late 60's and 70's with which I grew up, and firmly believe that, with my refined classical vocal technique, that I would find it easy to sing lead vocals in songs of that era.(although my voice is more robust and deeper than many rock singers). I already have a quasi-encyclopedic knowledge (highly retentive memory) of much of the music that was popular at the time, ranging from prog rock to things like Chicago, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, and many others, across multiple genres. Obviously, I am not a microphone singer by training, but I do not think that it would be difficult to master.
